I caught the last half of it live.
If it's archived, you'll probably find it here by the end of the week:

The Do Not Buy List is subject to the same inaccuracies as the Do Not Fly List. Ted Kennedy was put on the Do Not Fly List three times. How can you have a US Senator on the Do Not Fly List?

I'd like to point out that was a feature not a flaw. The flaw was in taking him off it three times.
He was frequently a drunken lout on planes.

The fact that Mr. Johnson advocated some guns in schools is HUGE IMO. It's a huge sign that GFZs are dying.

who pays for putting trained armed guards in the schools?  I know our district struggles with the cost of a shared officer.  But I 'd bet they'd be standing at the front of the line, NO GUNS IN SCHOOLS.  They are the definition of cognitive dissonance.

A lot of what I heard from the school official was "only highly trained people, like us Death Squad officers", and "give us more money to  hire more guys like me".

That said, he wasn't a total douche like so many others involved in public school administration.

As you know, the ability to rob people of more money is more power. The best way to get 51% of people to give up more of their money (and steal it from the other 49%) is to make them afraid.

Disagree.  He said he shouldn't be allowed to have a gun in school.

Disagree, although it might depend on your definition of douche.  He was pretty clueless.

Tom's opponent said that it was his experience, and that of those he "interviewed" that when schools implement security correctly that lives are saved.

I would like one example of what he is talking about.  One single example.

Holy crap, Tom's opponent is just spouting carp without any backing documentation at all.  He's stating "I think..."  'I think' isn't good enough.  What a tool.

Disagree.  He said he shouldn't be allowed to have a gun in school.

I didn't catch that, although he did say something like "no, not in a desk, then I'd just be introducing a gun to the school environment".

I was talking about his constant harping on training, like he got when he was a super duper SWAT cop.
And near the end, talking about how much safer the kids would be if we'd hire more cops and put them in schools.

He didn't seem to care much for Tom's ideas to arm the people already in the schools, or to accept safety volunteers like they do for street crossing guards.

Yeah, the same exchange I think.  The host asked about him having a gun in school to protect against violence, and he said "no."
