Gunshots in Okemos
« on: September 04, 2015, 09:02:57 PM »
I'm sitting outside on my front porch, 9:00 PM, and there are gunshots going off VERY near my house.  This should be interesting.

Bang...bang..............bang, bang, bang, bang.............bang...bang...

Well, it's fireworks.  But it sounded like a gun.  I only say fireworks now because there's smaller ones in rapid succession and I can tell those are firecrackers.

Hmmm, sounds like when I lived on the south side of Grand Rapids!   :-X

Well, I know what gunshots in my neighborhood sound like.  I probably shouldn't say how I know, though.

I couldn't possibly comment.  I did reach down and touch my K40, though.

About three weeks ago, my neighbor set off a mortar across the road while I was outside.  I cleared the cover garment, spun, and had a grip on my pistol when the shell exploded.  The wife laughed, I laughed.  Good times.

I've come to expect it around holidays, but some of those mortars sound like 12 gauge shotguns.

A couple of guys with little regard for the  concept of 'equal and opposite reaction' managed to kill themselves by firing those mortars off their heads.

Still got it.  But I just had my K40 in my pocket with the grip sticking out, sitting in a chair with my laptop.

Is that what they call the "Plaxico Carry" method?

EDIT: oops, it turns out Plax said he was using "Mexican Carry" not pocket carry when he felt it slide down his pants and he hit the trigger when he grabbed for it.
