Let's have a conversation about the fundamental aspects of 28.425o and it's repeal.

The first thing we have to do is understand why it is valuable to some and why it is hated by others. This is easy because it's the same for both sides. 28.425o is valued by some because it restricts carrying a firearm. It is hated by some because it restricts carrying a firearm. Plain and simple.

With that in mind, how do we get rid of the statute?

In order to get rid of the statute, the first thing you need to do is reduce it's value, which again, comes from it's ability to restrict firearm possession, or more specifically keep lawfully possessed firearms out of certain areas.

So how do you reduce the value of 28.425o? YOU CARRY IN THE LISTED ZONES!

If 28.425o can't keep guns out of certain places, then what is it good for? Further, if all the statute does is force the carried firearms to be visible which, EEEK, is even worse for those who like the statute, then again what is it good for?

Yes that means OC, suck it up! The only people making these zones gun free are the people that refuse to carry there because their preferred method isn't allowed. Well if you can't be bothered to engage in a little political activism for your own benefit, then I question whether or not you deserve that benefit. That goes double if you are also willing to throw someone else under the bus.

So one more time, what is the answer? CARRY!

It's not that they don't want to engage in political activism, it's that they don't want to be the first ones shot.

From experience, it is must easier to carry in 28.425o zones if they are also subject to 123.1102.
When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own palace, his goods are in peace. Luke 11:21

Then He said to them, “But now, he who has a money bag, let him take it, and likewise a knapsack; and he who has no sword, let him sell his garment and buy one."  Luke 22:36
