Yes I am new here and have owned several guns, both hand gun and shot gun for years. I live in Sterling Heights MI and use to have what they called a CCW which I understand is now called a CPL same thing different name I guess. I like the idea of concealed BUT due in part to cost and hoops to jump through I simply let mine expire. I always knew Michigan had the right to open carry but frankly never had the guts to do it alone. Bravo to all of you for bringing this out in the open.

I was prepared to sit back in my retirement and mind my own business, BUT after what I read the city of Royal Oak did in their attempt to usurp Michigan law by banning guns made my blood boil. I have been posting my 2 cents both in the Free Press and Macomb Daily.

You should look at the poll results in the Free Press it is impressive.

Do you think gun owners should be allowed to openly carry their guns at festivals?
Yes 69% (4,503 votes)

No 31% (2,050 votes)

Total Votes: 6,553

It's located under Patterson joins fray over guns at Arts, Beats & Eats | , yeah the same guy pulled over for a DUI but never charged because the cops knew him and yet he complains about legal law abiding citizens with open carry.  Sorry, people who speak out of both sides of their mouth upset me. Best Wishes to all of you.
