Title: Ammo Shortage?
Post by: TheQ on November 07, 2012, 11:22:54 PM
Not to create a panic, but a trustworthy friend of all of ours told me this evening that there is a shortage in the making.  He has a friend with a supplier who told him: if you need anything, you better order today.  By 4 PM said supplier was sold out.

Has anyone been to Meijers or Walmart today?  What are the shelves looking like?

I buy all my ammo by the case online.  I have enough to start a small Central American war.

With yesterday's vote result, though, it doesn't surprise me.

And I've got just enough to end it.

After all the hoarding subsided last time I cleaned up on cheap ammo that people started dumping. I suppose I can sell some off when the prices escalate again. Lead really is a precious metal commodity.

Not surprised at all if we see another big run on guns and ammo in the next couple of months.  Right after the last election it was very difficult for me to even get my hands on a case of small pistol primers.  Thankfully I have plenty now, I think I have enough to blast off everything I have and reload it all at least once  :)
