All,
I am looking to recommend the organization buy 3 new projectors, one for each Regional Coordinator we currently have active in our organization. I was hoping you'd offer a few recommendations on projectors we should consider purchasing.
Considerations:
1. Mean Time Between Failure
2. Types and Number of Inputs
3. Quality (Resolution, Luminosity)
4. Cost
5. Size (smaller is better)
I'm hoping you'll be willing to share some of your thoughts on a particular Make/Model.

I use an Epson 'PowerLite' 1761W (LCD Projector model H478A). Connections: VGA cable, USB cable, HDMI cable, Direct WiFi, Network WiFi. Remote control. 2600 lumans. Resolution is native WXGA 1280 x 800. Uses lamp type ELPLP65. Weighs 3.7lbs. Operates on 100-240vac ~ 50/60Hz. 3.0-1.4A.
Very light and small size - I carry it in my backpack along with my laptop. I regularly travel internationally primarily to Africa - so I can assure you it is durable.
Not for long distance projection but works perfect in a meeting room for presentations. Benifit of WiFi is you have the projector near the screen at the front of the room while you are located at a distance like at the back of the room - no need for cables.
Price was ~$700-$800.

The life expectancy of bulbs and the replacement cost should also be considered.
I don't have experience with projectors, so I can't really offer a suggestion.

Thus mean time between failures. But yes, this is an important consideration.

I've seen some great prices in the EPson closeout center. Irrespective of what brand you choose, check with the mfg for closeout and/or refurb
