nVidia driver works great on my Quadro NVS 135M under Xubuntu 12.04.

Boot splash doesn't work, but it wouldn't anyways because I use dm-crypt with LVM.

Translation for Pat.... Blah Blah Blah... Something about getting a shoe wet... Blah Blah

Yeah, I re OS'd this thing the other day. Nouveau was getting on my nerves performance wise. Can't seem to get nvidia to loose the damn twinview setup for god knows why.

Translation for pat: Blah blah this thing needs to have relations with a cactus blah blah

Apparently the moral of the story is just stick with Debian Jessie (the current testing release).

Configuration tools just work(TM)

Distro debate = Caliber debate

I was using debian before - it was just Debian Wheezy instead of Jessie.

When discussing the above subjects, it should be expected.

Distro debate = Caliber debate

Also, it should be
Code: [Select]
Distro debate == Caliber debate

Isn't that just a comparison? A statement that could return either true or false? (Pat: a yes or no question)

Seems to me it was correct in the first place.

It would be correct in the first place if you were looking to redefine Distro debate, or it was not previously assigned.

And now for some troll fuel (http://trollfuel.com).

I use....

SuSE Enterprise only at work
Xubuntu on my laptop
Debian on my KVM hosts
Ubuntu on my servers
FreeBSD on my NAS and Firewall

But alas, Linux from Scratch is supreme, all others are compromises.  :)

Too late now!

Seriously, working at a hosting company makes me prone to buying domains I'll probably never use - such as trollfuel.com

I'm pretty much straight Debian, although my VPS that I actually use is a cPanel box running Cent 6.5
