I will be going on a bike trip to Wisconsin next week and I'm wondering if anyone knows if open carry is legal in Wisconsin. Also here in Michigan I carry my handgun in a holster on my hip out in the open while riding my motorcycle ( I have a cpl ) anybody know if this is legal in Wisconsin ?

The short answer is yes they allow open carry, and honor your Michigan CPL but you should look up all their laws before making your trip.  And remember, you're traveling through Illinois to get there and they have different laws and restrictions as well.

I've openly carried in WI with my MI CPL.

Avoid Chicago like the plague.  Infact avoid Illinois entirely if you can.

I will be going to Wis. by way of the UP. Don't want anything to do with Chicago.
