Title: Senator wants to close gun-rental loophole
Post by: CitizensHaveRights on April 19, 2018, 09:03:42 AM
Remember Rick Jones, who sneakily pushed his '2A for the Only Ones' bill through his own committee a while back?

Well, some of his constituents know him as Senator Kneejerk, for his habit of swiftly introducing ill conceived solutions to whatever potential problem is in the news this week.

And now, Senator Jones proudly presents his bill to impose background checks on range rentals:

Except it is against federal law to call a NICS check in for a gun rental or loan.  Reminds me of the idiots in Nevada who persuaded the public to vote in mandatory "free" NICS checks on every private party gun sale or transfer.  The measure passed with less than a one percent margin.  Then the FBI told Nevada to get bent, that they weren't doing anything extra that they aren't federally required to do.

Idiots who don't know what they are doing for $100, Alex.

And this guy was a career LEO, eventually rising to the position of Sheriff, before becoming one of the most experienced legislators in the state (served the maximum number of terms in the House before running for Senate, and now he's term-limited in the Senate too).

All that time feeding at the public trough hasn't given him the real-world experience to teach him not to be a knee-jerk idiot yet...
