A parent visited his child at RESA three times.
Knowing that he was obeying the law and posed no threat, the superintendent locked down the building on the 2nd and 3rd visits and had a cop follow him everywhere he went. Lockdowns due to security procedures put in place a couple of years ago. (if Campbell is 'just following necessary procedure', why didn't he lock the building down the first time? If it isn't necessary, why did he do it the next two times???)
Public meeting scheduled tomorrow.

Hater's gonna hate.

I suspect Campbell (my local superintendent about ten or fifteen years ago) doesn't want to do anything about the "situation", but somebody on the board chewed him out when he failed to implement the lockdown policy last month. Think it will be possible to get a straight answer on who did what and when at tomorrow's meeting?

That's why we need to ban guns in schools.

Where were all these parents after the FIRST time Dad carried in the school?
How many of them would have even known about it if the school hadn't tried to stir up a problem?
Their kids didn't come home screaming & crying because of how scared they were by the GUN the bad man had?

I missed the MLIVE wrap-up after the Monday meeting last month, but here's the link:

To summarize, "We're afraid of guns, and if Lambert says our fears are baseless, that's just a silly political stance he's pushing, because our fears aren't going to be dispelled by facts"
