Went to Cabela's with the family yesterday. I cc'd and my wife oc'd for the first time. We had 0 problems. The greeter at the door saw my wifes S&W M&P 9C and was very friendly.

Yeah -- they generally only get a bit wierd if you pull it out of the holster (as they should).
I wanted to buy a mini-lock box there so I asked the sales person what the procedure would be to test my loaded side arm in it to see if it fit.
I ended going up to the entrance, having it unloaded, tagged as unloaded, and taken escorted over to the gun repair area.
I understand and appreciate their safety procedures.

They didn't have one, or a similar one, in the case that you could have used to test fit?

I've been in several places that wouldn't use their display guns before. Something about scratching and handling them too much. I can understand why this would be a concern with testing holsters and whatnot, but not really with something as large as a mini-vault.

It's a mini mini vault. Literally, it JUST fits my full sized XDm on every dimension.

I have been to Cabela's twice that I have found a deal on a holster and then a mini vault while OCing both times. I just took the items to the gun counter & had them test fitted so I could see how they fit, there was no line and those working behind the counter had no problems test fitting the items with their display pistols.

Same here. OC'd in Cabela's several times with no issues.
One time it was very crouded, I mean shoulder to shoulder crouded, I was in the ammo section looking around and I thought I heard a guy whisper to his friend, "Yeah, I'd say something". He may have been talking about me or maybe not.
I live about 15 miles from Cabela's. Bought my P90 there and a Barretta CX4 Storm, 9MM. Sweet gun.
