Title: Warning Shot Costs Florida Woman 20 Years
Post by: gryphon on November 07, 2012, 08:06:01 PM
A Florida mother of three fired a warning shot at her husband after an argument escalated.   A judge rejected her attorney’s request for immunity under Florida’s stand your ground law.  Her case was prosecuted by Angela Corey, the Florida State’s Attorney who is also prosecuting George Zimmerman.   She was sentenced to 20 years in prison.

Too bad she stood her ground, then went to her car to get her gun and returned to "her ground".

Sounds like 2 reasons to never leave you gun in your car while you're at home.  The moment she left the house and came back inside her fate was sealed

Entirely possible the guy came at her....  but I agree, if she was that afraid, she should have left and came back with po-po....

Though my account doesn't seem to match hers...   she said for him to leave, he wouldn't... so she fired...  to coerce him to leave...

Dumb move lady.
