Looking for a AR-15 Mechanic in Metro Detroit. Prefer Downriver.. Complete Palmetto Build.
-
dougwg on the forums is knowledgeable with gunsmithing, not sure how in depth he is with the ar but it wouldn't hurt to ask him. His shop is in Taylor.
His phone number used to be all over mgo, or just pm him there or ocdo.

I told you not to buy that crap. But did you listen to me? Nooooo!
If is not a Colt, it's just a copy.

Wardog6t,
AR builds are not hard at all. Spend your money on ammo rather than having someone do a build for you. You can do it yourself. There are tons of resources online to help you out. I have done 5 builds now. My last one took me about 1hour 45min. Not sure when you would like to complete this build but I will be home on R&R mid Oct. I would be happy to help you with your build for some pizza and a couple sodas. I can bring all the needed tools and blocks.

Build is complete there seems to be an issue with the disconnector or the disconnector Springs
-
My bad, thought you wanted a build....
Is the disconnector spring in upside-down? This is a common problem. One side of the disconnector spring is wider than the other. The wider side needs to go down into the trigger. That is all I can think of without seeing it. What is it doing?

Thanks Ken. New Spring on the way.

Thanks Ken. New Spring on the way.
Ken's membership has already been beneficial to the group. Thanks again for coming back. And for joining!

Thank you Pat.

OK Ken. It's running. I ended up getting the spring and other parts yesterday. Took the fire control group apart and sure enough the spring was completely mangled and upside down. Replaced Spring and test fired. Ran great 200+ rounds NO FTF's, or Run aways.. Got her all sighted in and its good to go. Now waiting on another lower to come in then on to the .300 ACC Black out build.
Thanks again...I have become pretty proficient on lowers now and no scratches. Duct tape rocks!

Great to hear! Glad we were able to get things figured out. That is a nice stick you have there. I have a mid-length on my bench at the moment too. It is my winter project. Going with a piston system myself, like all my builds. Hope to see you bring it to a shoot sometime.

It's junk.

Anyway... Don't hate...
