In Washington state, I 594 has now gone into effect. People haven’t even figured out all the ways it makes you a criminal yet (e.g. it may cover flare guns, percussive nail guns, etc, due to its definition of “firearm”). And yet here we are, full speed ahead down the slippery slope: Initiative 594 group calls for additional gun measures. The antis now want a safe storage law, a gun violence protection order (no due process) and state gun range inspections for lead content.
