Title: IWB carry- concealled?
Post by: skunkworks on August 01, 2010, 02:07:28 PM
What is the concensus on IWB carry? It would seem from memory that this wasn't encouraged at one time because it didn't meet the qualifications of CC if the 'top' of gun was visible, but not fully complient of OC either.
I would think that with a CPL I'm covered, but don't want to get caught on a technicality either.

It's a gray area for OC.  There is no case law and the amount of the gun that must be showing to be OCing is not defined in the law.  As long as you have a CPL, you're fine.  Just don't carry like that in a CEZ (criminal empowerment zone, otherwise known as a PFZ).  Make sure it's fully exposed for carrying in any area of MCL 28.425o.
