That's the one. Utica on March 28th. I will be there unless something happens where I can't make it but unless there is an emergency I am going.

There has only been one other thing close to me, and it was only about 5 minutes away but I didn't go to that one cause I was a giant nervous wuss. It was a carry dinner. The utica one is only about 25 minutes away so that's fine with me.

Don't chicken out. I'm counting on you to be there.

I will not chicken out. It is at the top of my list of things I want to do. I am looking forward to it. The only thing that would prevent me from going is some sort of emergency or if I was feeling so crummy I can't drive a vehicle. I do not see any of that happening so I'm going.

Hot bubble butt chick in yoga pants constantly stretching in front of me should do it.
By the way, how long are the seminars usually? I could also record it if you guys wanted and put it online publicly or privately for all to see or just MOC members.
-
That would be awesome! I'm in the same boat as you. I have been waiting to become a member also till I make it to a seminar but there doesn't seem to be one coming close to me anytime soon. There are videos on YouTube but they are a few years old and I'm sure a lot of things have changed since then.

If you're watching that one seminar that the old guy with the ponytail is doing, things haven't changed all that much.
-
I am asking a few of my friends if they would like to go. But I'm doubting that any of them actually will. One question I have been asked is how long is the seminar. I had no answer to give them because I do not know how long it is either. Half hour? Hour? locked up in a basement and never go home again!?
-
About an 60 - 90 minutes. Depends on questions from attendees. I start at 7pm and the store closes at 9pm. So it won't go any longer than 90 minutes.

Email swregion@miopencarry.org. Maybe a seminar in your town could be arranged.
-
I will do that. I have a few places in mind, just not sure on how to go about asking the owners. One place would work great but he has a liquor license, from my understanding, as long as he gives written permission OC'ing without a CPL would be ok.

Yeah, I met him too, seems like a good guy.
I was in a lot of pain there after hurting my leg last night though. It was fun. My friends enjoyed it enough too.

All of those pistols in one place....I'm amazed we all got out alive!! :hide:
-
at least one of them should have shot on their own. there had to have been 30-35 loaded pistols in one place. the number say one should have gone off
-
Maybe no one was carrying a Glock.
-
there were at least 3-4 blocks. jeff has one, a 19 IIRC i saw, a really nice kimber 1911. a tan sr9, a couple snubbies. HK usp.

The HK USP45 looked like it was in a Serpa holster. :yikes:
-
i saw more serpas than ALS' js.... and i didnt even have my serpa on, cant use it for a month or so due to how my pistol sits in it and makes contact with the slide.

Brad was correct, I was carrying a Glock 19. in my ALS, also has trijicon night sights :)
-
I had the Tan SR9; LOVE that thing. Also carried in the Blackhawk Serpa (don't hate) 8)
-
i love my serpa. i have yet to shoot myself with it!

That's not surprising, since it's a holster.
