Hello from West Michigan.......

A police officer (supervisor) from a mid-sized west Michigan city.  Great site, much useful information, have always frequently checked the forums to see where potential challanges are coming to a location nearby.  Not an frequent carrier ( I prefer to be a sheep sometimes), but respect others right to do so (in good taste, and for the right reasons). Hopefully street challanges over OC are nearing the end, much has been done to educate officers and departments in the last few years. Years, and years of police training are hard to get past ...... gun = threat......it is still a bit un-nerving to see an OC'er.

Thanks for chiming in! I for one can understand the difficulty in changing an ingrained mindset. I'm glad to hear the training is starting to stick. Thank you for doing what you do.
