Waste. I would have at least tried taking the meat.

Also, doesn't look like the guy made sure the Moose was actually done. THAT is probably what pisses me off.

I wish he would have given it a head shot so that it didn't suffer, but I didn't want to be one of those guys.

I don't see anything wrong with not wanting an animal to suffer.

I understand the self defense shoot (although I would have had my firearm out at the first suspicion the animal may attack), but at least make sure it's not suffering.

I was thinking the same thing. Don't just leave without making sure the animal is dead. I've seen animals with arrows still stuck in them. My grandfather took a deer one year that had a hole in its neck. I'm sure his adrenaline was pumping but still.
