Title: S&W M&P 15 gas block

Hey,

I'm looking to buy a gas block for my M&P 15 chambered in 5.56 so I can remove the front sight. Not sure the diameter of the barrel but I heard a few different sizes from other forums. If you guys could let me know if anyone has one for sale or anything let me know.

You plan to replace it with a front gas block with a rail on top, or a low profile gas block so that you can fit a mid/rifle length hand guard over it to free float the barrel?

If you are just going to fit a handguard over it, you can cut the A2 style front sight down and it will function as a low profile gas block and you won't have to buy one.

Sorry, should have specified the model. I have the Magpul version so it would be the low profile gas block. Didn't think of that, sounds like a better plan then buying a new gas block!
