I am tired of this!! We need to make it more illegal to prevent this!

But we also need to remember that it is the guns fault not the criminals!

I can see the bill's title.  "The Post Office Safety Act".  Also known as the POS Act.

Possession of a firearm on USPS property will be illegal.
Attempted armed robbery of a USPS office will be illegal.
Using a firearm in the commission of a crime on USPS property will be illegal.

Oh, wait...

Sad thing is IF they get a lead that does help them arrest and bring charges against these two, due to plea agreements the person who gave the information to law enforcement will not get paid as NO conviction will ever be made as they will agree to a plea agreement which for some reason does not count as a conviction in many states. I don't know ifthe fed's play the same game but would not put it pass them to do so.
