New guy from Ionia County
« on: August 22, 2013, 11:01:18 AM »
Hello everyone! Been lurking the fourms since I attended the Lansing open carry seminar back in the spring, finially decided to introduce myself. I'm 22, just took a CPL class in St Johns last weekend and will probably start carrying one way or another once I have that, currently just a fair-weather plinker at the range to get better at handling my gun. Trying to know the law 100% before I start carrying regularly, whether that be OC or CC. Hope to meet more of you all in person at the next event I can make it to!

You already took a great first step to understanding the law: attending one of our seminars.

Welcome!

Welcome from Cutlerville (Grand Rapids).

My father dated a woman from Ionia, married her, and I was born in Ionia. There are roads in Ionia County named after my family (both sides).

Just to clarify, I am not Shadow Bear's father.  I don't think.

Ionia County is in our SW Region. If you find a place that will host a seminar for us (preferably for free -- Gander Mountain has been great at letting us used their lodges) near you (requires a venue that will seat 20-30), contact our SW region team at swregion@miopencarry.org. They will work with the venue to help setup a seminar.

The best way to find out about seminars in your area is to sign up for our mailing list: http://miopencarry.org/updates
