Michigan Open Carry, Inc. and Michigan Gun Owners once again team-up to bring you our Southeast Region Annual Michigan Picnic!!

Starting at Noon and ending at 3PM.

Our second of four annual picnics will be held at Gallup Park in Ann Arbor, MI. It's important to note that this event will be held inside the Canoe Livery Building. There is no charge to enter the park. We will have signs and banners pointing you in the direction of where to go.

MOC and MGO will be providing traditional BBQ foods and beverages, but we always recommend bringing a dish to share. This creates a nice mixture of different foods for everyone to try. This is NOT a requirement to attend the picnics.

These picnics are a great venue for veteran members and amateur firearm owners to get out and meet with like-minded people. If you are new to Open Carry, these events are great for a first-timer to get out and try it without fear of harassment.

Please come on out and meet with the Leadership from both organizations and join the party! The carrying of a firearm is recommended but NOT required.

For those not familiar with the area, here are some helpful links

NOTE! This is not in the way back pavilion like last year.

This year we will be up front and visible in the Gallup Park Livery! We get a room plus the run of the patio!

Google Maps showing http://www.a2gov.org/departments/Parks-Recreation/parks-places/Pages/Gallup.aspx :
1) the main entrance west of Huron Parkway on Geddes (less parking up front but some more spaces if you go deeper into the park and across the one lane bridge)
2) the alternate closest parking just east of Huron Parkway on Geddes (usually has more parking closer to the livery and an easy 5 min walk)

I would like to thank all who attended today's picnic. Once again we show that lawful gun owners are not a threat to society. No one panicked, no children ran screaming in fear at the sight of holstered  handguns openly carried. These events only prove that good people exercising their rights are not the problem. Again, thank you, and hope to see you at our next two picnics. Carry on.
