Nellie Jo Pearson, 40, of Port Huron, was shot in a friend's home on Sept. 13, 2014.

The man who shot her didn't know the gun was loaded.

"The situation was pretty simple," said Paeth, 54, of Shelby Township. "We were told the gun was sitting on the counter. Earlier in the day the guys were dry-firing it. The guy that picked it up didn't know it had been loaded by its owner, so he aimed it at her. We will never know the whole story or why he aimed it at her or why he pulled the trigger, though."

That doesn't sound like an accident.

Assault with intent to commit soiled panties resulting in death, or are you thinking murder?

One of the prime rules was broken---

NEVERT POINT A GUN AT SOMETHING THAT YOU DONT WANT TO DESTROY.

I guess the pointer didn't know the rule..

I tell those at the range that don't mind sweeping every one that. they say "IT AINT LOADED"--I remind em that 65% of those killed w/ guns are UNLOADED guns. Here is one case where that was true.

Also remember the other big rule--TREAT ALL GUNS AS IF LOADED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!always.
