The CoA used the Lewellyn field preemption case to decide CADL v MOC.  Lewellen is caselaw from SCoM.  Only SCoM can overturn it, which CADL and their Amici are trying to do, read this Amicus

The brief focuses mostly on the Llewelyn case.  It even goes so far as to quote the Chief Justuices' own law review/magazine publications.

CADL has "friends" that are asking SCoM to hear the case on CADL's behalf and overturn the CoA and the Llewellyn decision (which is the cornerstone of our case).  It's called a "Friend of the Court" briefing.
