I know that he got a sweetheart deal on a USP40. (A lot less than one of those "so called" American guns made by some former Soviet Bloc company in Czechoslovakia.)
Quality made by Heckler & Koch in Germany.
Don't get any better than that.

Would've been a whole lot better getting a pistol manufactured by a reputable firearms company instead of one from a former communist bloc country. But it's your money to piss away.

Sig is a West German (and US) company, not East German.  The P229 was standard FBI as well as other federal issue for years.  The Michigan State Police carry the Sig P226 or P229.  As a matter of fact, the Indiana State Police just switched to the Sig P227 in .45ACP.

Not knocking the Sig. In fact I talked T Mack into a real nice P226 Elite.
Sig doesn't license out the use of their name to some former soviet bloc country gunmaker like some POS "American" gun company does.

Still looking?  I have one of these I'd be willing to let go.

Wow, I'd bite but I tend to stay away from brownings.  Personal preference of course.

I believe that is a hi-power, not a 1911.

Both the Colt 1911 and the Browning Hi-Power were designed by the Father of Modern Weapons.
