Open Carry with a CPL

I was recantly told that you can not open carry with a CPL, is this true?

In the state of Michigan that is not true. If visiting other states, please verify their laws first.

As I explain to others who have asked this same question, a CPL simply gives you the OPPORTUNITY to conceal if you would like to without violating the law but it does NOT require that your firearm is concealed.  So OC w/ a CPL is good...actually its a lot better than OCing without a CPL, read the "stickies" at the top of this subforum, they have a lot of information which is good to know if you plan to OC.
