OC seminar--Owosso area--Oct. 2nd 3-6 PM

Open Carry Seminar
Owosso Area

Where:  VFW Post 9455---519 S. Chipman St.  Owosso, Mi. 48867
When: Saturday October 2nd
Time:  3:00 PM to 6:00 PM

Free admission.
Presenters:  Brian Jeffs, Past President MOC, Inc.
Jerry Brewer: Past Sgt. At Arms MOC, Inc.

Talk will cover the basic aspects of the open carry of a handgun in Michigan.  There will be plenty of time to ask questions after the talk.

If you are interested in open carry and are in the greater Owosso area mark this day on your calendar.  You won’t be disappointed.

Damn you guys either choose a day I can't go to or thats like an hour plus away I think I will just have to attend this one with the 1 and a half ish long drive. Will OC be allowed well we attend the seminar?

Yes...OC or CC will be allowed. The VFW does have a bar attached. It does however have two separate entrances and I have asked that the "in between" door to the bar remain locked while we are there. You will be legal to carry without violation; we have the owner's permission to be there. So you are legal to OC or CC however you wish.
I do ask however, do not go into the bar until after the seminar and you take the appropriate precautions for your mode of carry...with/without a CPL.
It does have a small parking lot and spaces are limited. There is also "on street" parking. Take this into account when you plan your travel time.

We are working on getting written permission from the VFW to allow firearms on site.

Permission has been approved and signed.
We will have the form at the seminar so don't be concerned about carrying.
