Article says he was cited for possessing a concealed weapon, but he only apologized for forgetting to take it home with him.

I bet the County Gun Board goes easy on him and amends the 6 months suspension.

"Fox said the gun was located in an inside pocket that was zipped shut. It was in a locked holster, he said"

Holsters come with trigger locks?

Or....just some talented use of deflective verbiage that would be picked up and used by the uneducated media.  It's his job to be creative and skillful with his words.

Who cares if the "holster" was locked?
Carrying a *CONCEALED* weapon in a school is against the law.
PERIOD.

I wonder if that prosecutor's office has ever prosecuted anyone for carrying in a PFZ.

Not to split hairs, but it is a State Civil Infraction.  No real prosecution unless someone denies responsibility and requests a formal hearing.

Based on the MSP CPL statistics, the number of second offenses (misdemeanor) is low. For example, there were zero between July 1,2012 and June 30, 2013.

"court officers" are exempt from PFZ's. My question is what is the definition of a "court officer?" Does a prosecutor count as one?

Aren't all attorneys officers of the court?
